The idea was to bring together all of you lovers/supporters of Faneromeni Square (Nicosia, Cyprus) and to unite all the art and ideas that are concluded in this Cypriot Underground/Grassroots community. You are all welcome to join in on this, as long as you are free of any negative ideologies (racist, fascist, authoritarian etc). Post your interest to play on the radio station on our comment page, or on our Facebouk Group. Manolis, if you didn't know is the tree in Faneromeni square in front of “Xalara”. It was given it's name by kids of the nearby school who where said to dance around it holding hands and singing a kids game-song which says “round round everyone, and in the middle Manolis”.. and so he was named. Years after, the name was brought up again by a group of youth who made the place their hang out area, mostly individuals with anarchist, leftist or libertarian ideas who slowly enlarged in numbers and evolved in organizing out of the ordinary events/actions, usually with political content. Many incidents, either bad or good (if there is such a thing) brought us to where we are today. Something that is missing, is a medium to spread our culture and ideas outside the walls until any other side of the planet. And then the “radio station idea” was born…¹⁾
